About Leeanna Silva
Yoga Teacher | Studio Manager | Shamanic High Priestess | Christ Consciousness Mentor | Kundalini Activator | Akashic Guide | Trauma-Healing Facilitator | Sacred Feminine Leader| Sekhmet Priestess| African Traditional Religion Initiate
For over a decade, Leeanna Silva has walked the sacred path of spiritual embodiment, healing, and soul remembrance. She is a multidimensional healer and teacher whose work weaves ancient sacred practices with trauma-informed healing, mental wellness, and decolonial spiritual education. An initiate in different African Traditions as well as Buddhist and Hindu traditions, she combines worldly practices to connect all. Her family is originally from an island called Cabo Verde, where too her family were colonized Africans.
Leeanna serves as a vessel for divine feminine wisdom, Earth-rooted spirituality, and soul-level transformation, offering a deeply integrative and heart-centered approach to yoga, energy work, and spiritual awakening.
Rooted in the Hindu tradition, Leeanna guides students to explore yoga as a path for cultivating prāṇa—the vital energy that nourishes body, mind, and spirit. Rather than focusing on achieving the “perfect” pose, She encourages students to move with awareness, breathe deeply, and connect inward, creating space for true healing and balance.
Drawing inspiration from sacred texts like the Yoga Sūtras and the Bhagavad Gītā, Leeanna sees yoga as a journey toward inner peace, mental clarity, and spiritual connection. Herr classes blend āsana, breathwork, and meditation to help students experience yoga as a practice of energy, presence, and self-discovery.
“Yoga is not about shaping the body—it’s about freeing the spirit and letting your inner light shine.”
Whether you’re new to the mat or deepening your practice, Leeanna offers a welcoming space where how you feel inside matters far more than how you look outside.
Trauma-Informed Yoga & Somatic Healing
Leeanna’s yoga practice is founded in the profound understanding that trauma lives in the body—and that healing must begin at the somatic level. Her trauma-informed approach honors the nervous system, offering gentle, accessible, and intuitive practices that allow students to reconnect with their bodies in safe and empowering ways. Working in the mental health field she sees the challenges faced in society today and now more than ever need to connect to inner child healing.
In her classes and private sessions, she uses breathwork, grounding techniques, and intentional movement to support emotional regulation, energetic release, and inner stability. Students learn how to listen to their bodies, honor their boundaries, and reclaim agency over their physical and emotional experiences.
Leeanna holds space for deep healing by integrating:
-
Polyvagal-informed movement and breathing
-
Restorative and Yin-based postures for nervous system repair
-
Mindfulness practices for emotional processing
-
Gentle trauma release through shaking, sound, and stillness
-
Ancestral body awareness and reconnection to indigenous wisdom
Decolonizing Yoga & Reclaiming Ancestral Practices
Leeanna is a sacred space holder, yoga guide, and trauma-informed practitioner who walks the path of embodied liberation. With roots in the African continent and a deep reverence for spiritual traditions across the diaspora, Leeanna offers yoga not as a performance or commodity, but as a practice of remembering, reclaiming, and restoring. Her work lives at the intersection of decolonization, ancestral healing, and somatic restoration, creating transformative experiences that honor the body as a sacred site of resilience and return.
Trained in trauma-informed yoga and somatic principles, Leeanna understands how the body holds stories—personal, generational, and collective. Her offerings are rooted in the knowing that many people of African descent carry deep imprints of historical and ongoing violence, marginalization, and disconnection. In every breath and movement, she invites her students to move gently, to feel safely, and to reconnect with the truth that healing is not about fixing what is broken, but remembering what was never lost.
Leeanna teaches through a decolonial lens, acknowledging the origins of yoga in ancient South Asian wisdom while challenging the ways it has been whitewashed, commercialized, and disconnected from spiritual purpose. For her, decolonizing yoga is an act of justice, a ritual of reconnection, and a reclaiming of embodied wisdom. It is the process of unlearning the colonial gaze that has told us what spirituality should look like—and instead, awakening to the truth that healing can speak in the voice of our grandmothers, sing in the rhythm of drums, and rest in the stillness of ancestral silence.
Her classes are not just about poses—they are about creating sanctuary. Whether guiding breathwork, gentle movement, restorative stillness, or meditative practices, Leeanna’s spaces are infused with compassion, ritual, and care. She creates containers where people of all races and backgrounds can rest from survival, release the weight of hypervigilance, and practice being in their bodies without shame, judgment, or pressure to perform.
Informed by the earth, the cosmos, and the voices of her lineage, Leeanna often weaves in elements such as sound healing (Tibetan bowls, ancestral chants, or angelic vocals), nature connection, guided meditation, and intuitive movement. Her yoga is slow, intentional, spirit-led—and deeply rooted in the belief that our breath is an altar, and our bodies are sacred ground.
Leeanna’s mission is to remind her community that yoga is not about escaping the body, but coming home to it. It is not about transcending pain, but holding it with tenderness. It is not about becoming someone new, but remembering who you were before the world told you to shrink.
She invites all spiritual seekers—especially those from the African diaspora—to experience yoga not through a lens of comparison or cultural detachment, but through the heart of reclamation, reverence, and radical self-love.
Leeanna’s work is deeply rooted in the decolonization of spiritual and wellness spaces. She teaches from a place of reverence for yoga’s origins, challenging the Western commodification of the practice and creating inclusive spaces that center BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and marginalized voices.
Her offerings invite students to reconnect with their ancestral wisdom, reclaim their sacred practices, and explore yoga beyond the physical—as a vehicle for liberation, resistance, and remembrance.
Her teachings include:
-
Conversations and workshops on decolonizing yoga and wellness
-
Integration of indigenous worldviews and spiritual sovereignty
-
Guided rituals and movement drawn from Earth-based traditions
-
Encouraging practitioners to engage with yoga not as a trend, but as a living lineage and sacred relationship with Spirit
Angelic Vocal and Tibet Sound Healing
Leeanna is a sound healer and meditation guide devoted to helping spiritual seekers journey inward through the sacred power of angelic vocals, guided meditations, and Tibetan sound bowl healing.
With a voice that carries ethereal, otherworldly tones, Leeanna offers angelic vocals that gently open the heart and quiet the mind. Each note becomes a prayer, inviting listeners into states of serenity, spiritual connection, and inner awakening.
Blending these celestial sounds with the deep, resonant vibrations of Tibetan singing bowls, Leeanna creates immersive soundscapes designed to harmonize energy, clear blockages, and reconnect seekers with their own divine essence.
Deeply rooted in the wisdom that true transformation begins within, Leanna guides others to explore prāṇa—the vital life force that flows through all beings. Through sound and meditation, Leeanna helps spiritual seekers move beyond the surface of life into profound stillness, where the soul’s wisdom can be heard.
Whether offering group sound baths, private healing sessions, or mystical meditation journeys, Leeanna holds space with compassion, presence, and a touch of the sacred.
“Sound is the bridge between the seen and unseen. Through sacred vibrations, we remember who we truly are—divine, radiant, and whole.”
If you’re yearning for deeper connection, inner peace, and spiritual renewal, Leeanna invites you to step into a realm where voice, vibration, and silence become portals to the soul.

The Mission: Liberation Through Embodiment
Leeanna believes that healing is not about fixing—we are not broken. Rather, it is about remembering: remembering our sacredness, our divine connection, and our right to live freely in our bodies and truth.
Her mission is to guide others home to themselves—through movement, energy, breath, and sacred practice—so that each soul may live a life rooted in love, liberation, and divine remembrance.
"Yoga is not just a posture. It is a prayer. It is revolution. It is medicine. It is remembrance of your divine self." – Leeanna Silva
